Biography

Mr. Reiner Albrecht, 44 years old, married, 2 children.

After studying production engineering Mr. Albrecht started his career 1988 as a project engineer at company Werner & Pfleiderer (today Coperion), a leading company for twin screw extruders.
Entering the company Illig Maschinenbau in 1992 as an area sales manager he was responsible the following years for several countries in Western and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Asia. In 2000 he was appointed as sales director export and therefore responsible for the export sales department in Illig.

Abstract of presentation

The first part of the presentation informs about the newest development in IML (In-Mould-Labelling) technology in the thermoforming process.
 
-     Requirements for successful IML thermoforming (from machine and tool point of view)

1. IML-thermoforming applications on the market
2. Handling/feeding technology of the labels
3. Comparison IML thermoforming to injection (tool lay out, cycle speed, output, costs, etc.)

The second part of the presentation informs about the brand new development in bottleforming, means the production of bottles for wellness drinks, drink yogurts and similar products by using the thermoforming technology.
